What's Next?

I wanted to write this newest blog in increments leading up to my first shoot of the year. Given its an odd time in the world with #COVID and we're somewhat of a newer name, I'm not too irrational to the fact that the first video of 2021 is in April (plus this is #OHIO BRRR!) I own and fully operate 2 businesses (video and painting) so I do find myself constantly busy more so than not managing both entities. I'm thankful for a lot of paths that merged, that allow me the freedom to be creative in all aspects of my day to day life. Starting or doing something may never be easy but sometimes what's meant to be, finds us along that journey.

This year we will start integrating drone footage into clients highlight videos. This is going to bring a broad perspective of couple's venues and offer dynamic shots throughout a wedding day event. We will also begin to offer Lavalier microphones to capture high quality audio of vows and important moments during a wedding day.

5 days from now (today is April 5, 2021) I will be at Weatherington Woods in Zanesville, OH to capture the first wedding of 2021! I am very eager for the day to come (hence the pre game blog) and excited to celebrate new life with a new couple.

One of the biggest compliments I can receive is a couple choosing me out of every other vendor to film their wedding day. I have been a part of enough weddings to see how much planning and decision goes into each detail. I try to make my process as transparent as possible from the start. I am there to capture moments that will last forever and provide the best visual representation of love that will last a life time.

As of today (April 11, 2021) the first wedding is officially filmed and unloaded onto a hard drive. Yesterday the 10th was an exciting day for me and it came with a lot of planning on my end. For starters I was about 2 hours and 15 minutes from home so I had to get an early start to get to my destination by noon. I got there about an hour early so I could get the drone in the air due to some weather concerns, though it did rain later in the day I was able to still get some great shots with the couple during Reception hours.

Packing for a wedding day shoot is enjoyable if you like making sure you have everything 25 times before leaving the house. Charge, pack, unload, execute, pack, unload footage.

And here is the final product! This video turned out to be one of the most dynamic ones in the portfolio. I know as the year progresses there are going to be many more opportunities to capture amazing shots. I have a good feeling that the 2021 Highlight Video will be something epic and special.
